IMPORTANT NOTICE - DISPENSARY - DUE TO THE ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS WEEK OUR REGULAR DELIVERIES HAVE BEEN SEVERELY AFFECTED WHICH IS HAVING A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE AVAILABILITY OF MEDICATION. WE APOLOGISE FOR THE INEVITABLE DELAYS THIS WILL HAVE ON THE ISSUING OF MEDICATION AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
Please note: our clinical system has changed and you will need to re-register for online prescription ordering.
To order a repeat prescription you can either complete the paper repeat slip and post it in the box outside the dispensary or if you have signed up for our Online Services, order online via the link at the top of this page.
You may also request repeat prescriptions in person at the dispensary.
We require at least THREE FULL WORKING DAYS to prepare your PAPER or electronic prescription. This excludes obtaining the supply of your medication and dispensing time which is subject to separate prescribing and safety standards. You may no longer be able to request items which are not on your repeat list due to local health policy restrictions for items used occasionally and available to purchase over the counter at pharmacies, whether you are exempt or not from prescription charges.
We encourage patients to order their medication online, and discourage telephone orders because of concerns about the accuracy and safety of orders left on our answer machine. Please ask a member of staff how to register for SystmOnline.
Dispensary opening times: Monday to Friday 08.30 – 18:00.
The dispensary is very busy in the mornings whilst open surgeries are taking place. If you need to speak to a member of staff in the dispensary please ring after 10:00. If you need to leave a message for them please dial the main number 01400 281220 and press 2 for dispensary. Please do not leave repeat prescription orders on this number.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Prescription Delivery Service
This service is no longer available for patients at Allington Village Hall. We are carrying out a further feasibility study into an alternative delivery service covering the villages within our practice boundary. More information to follow after the study is complete.
Please allow THREE full working days for prescriptions (medication) to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
